Spark Business Loan

A high-converting lead generation landing page designed to seamlessly connect small business owners with funding options.

Project Overview

Spark Business Loan is a fast, high-converting lead generation landing page built specifically to connect small business owners with commercial funding. The goal was to take a complex financial topic and wrap it in an inviting, trustworthy, and incredibly snappy web experience that turns curious traffic into qualified loan applications.

  • My Role: Branding, UI/UX Design, Front-End Development
  • The Stack: PHP, HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript

The Challenge

Applying for small business loans can feel clinical and overwhelming, making users hesitant to share financial details online. The platform needed to immediately establish rock-solid credibility to maximize lead capture. The main design and technical puzzle here was balancing two competing needs: providing enough transparent info on loan criteria to build trust, while keeping the layout streamlined enough to guide users toward the intake form without causing application fatigue.

The Approach & UX Solution

Instead of throwing a cold lead capture form at users the second they land on the page, I designed a value-first acquisition funnel.

  • Humanizing the Brand: I started from scratch by designing a custom logo and visual identity. I paired a clean, modern layout with vibrant photography of real industries to make the business funding space feel approachable and human rather than corporate.
  • Progressive Content Flow: As small business owners scroll, the page serves up bite-sized blocks of information detailing loan benefits, qualification parameters, and funding speeds. This deliberate breakdown answers borrower doubts before asking for their data.
  • Frictionless Data Collection: The page builds up to a prominent, clear Call to Action. I designed the multi-step loan intake form to capture essential business data in logical, low-stress stages, keeping abandonment low and completion rates high.

Technical Execution

With paid traffic and lead conversion performance on the line, I skipped heavy libraries and went back to the fundamentals to keep things lean and fast.

  • Lightweight Modular Architecture: Used PHP for clean, server-side page templating. This kept the codebase dry and manageable while ensuring zero client-side rendering overhead for incoming mobile traffic.
  • Vanilla JS Validation: Wrote custom JavaScript to handle real-time form validation on the intake fields. It gives users instant, helpful feedback as they input financial details—preventing broken lead submissions without adding the weight of a third-party form library.
  • Responsive layouts: Crafted the HTML and CSS from the ground up with a mobile-first mindset, ensuring the multi-step loan questionnaire is just as easy to tap through on a phone as it is on a desktop.
